I bought the digital version and after a few listens I realised I hadn't paid enough, so I bought the CD from Transcending Obscurity. Effing great.

Avec un genre donné, certains groupes vont le révolutionner tandis que d'autres vont le perfectionner : Lycanthia fait le second. Oligarchy, deuxième et ultime album du sextette australien, est une perle de death/doom metal gothique qui utilise violon et chants féminins et évite les écueils classiques. Le violon n'est pas qu'un faire-valoir et peut briller lors de nombreux morceaux de bravoure ; pas de styles "La Belle et la Bête" : Vanessa Black et Megan Robins ont l'ascendant. Excellent !!
